Fraunhofer Venture represents the Fraunhofer Society in its investments. In close In collaboration with the institute and departments involved, Fraunhofer Venture also acts as point of contact for the operative management and co-shareholders of the companies in which the Society is invested, e. g. in matters involving:
- Coordinating the company strategy
- Reviewing regular reports
- Approving transactions requiring approval
- Participating in shareholder meetings
- Participating in funding rounds as a co-investor
- Structuring and conducting funding rounds
- Establishing contact with potential funding partners
- Providing support in selling the company
